Do you remember our competition "Postgraduate with VirtusLab"?
In May 2021, four winners, selected from among the "Girls Go IT" students, received funding to pay for postgraduate studies and soon after began studying "Data Science" conducted by the Institute of Computer Science of the AGH University of Science and Technology.
Today, it is with great pleasure that we want to tell you about the story of Mrs. Monika, one of the winners of the competition.
Ms. Monika earned a master's degree in Biomedical Engineering at the AGH University of Science and Technology. She entered the competition because she wanted to expand her skills in data analysis. "Data surrounds us everywhere, I wanted to learn the tools for their analysis and learn how to properly process them" - she emphasized in an interview with us.
The classes allowed her to consolidate the knowledge she already possessed, as well as to find further directions for development. A wide and well-developed range of material, homework and tests helped Monika take the next steps in her studies and allowed her to assess her progress. All this allowed me to better define the direction in which I want to further develop professionally.
From October 2022, Monika started a new job as a Python Developer, where I will be able to use the acquired skills and tools (including SQL and libraries: Pandas, NumPy and Matplotlib) on a daily basis. What's more, the diploma project made by Monika at the end of her studies was one of the assets that helped her during the interview.
We are very happy with Monika's successes and we keep our fingers crossed for further successes in her career!
